A teenage girl’s progress to womanhood is diverted towards a much wilder outcome after she kills a bear on the mountainside of her ancestor’s farm.
American teenager, Helga, and her father, Jack, go on a pilgrimage to the remote Norwegian farm where her long dead mother was born. This trip of a lifetime is almost cut short when a ferocious Bear attacks them.
Rather than propel them to leave, the severe trauma sparks an innate desire in Helga to stay. Isolated up a mountain, daughter and father find time to bond, but Helga secretly begins to experience strange black outs and changes to her physique.
As her emotional and psychological state deteriorates, Helga can't hide her unrelenting transformation from Jack. As self-control gives way to the murderous primal, Jack has to accept his daughter is no longer a little girl.
